This is a list of podcasts, which are basically radio shows recorded to MP3 and made available for you to download and listen to on your schedule. Podcasts are so diverse, it's difficult to pick favorites, but these are mine, mostly on the subject of IT.First is ITConversations. Doug Kaye's baby (now with the help of many others), this site provides a steady stream of shows on technical and science topics. I usually subscribe to a subset of the series, but here I'll list the whole varied set. I also listen to Steve Gillmor's Gillmor Gang and Gillmor Daily, where I hear in depth discussions by IT commentators I trust and their guests. Similarly, I like the work of Dan Farber and David Berlind of ZDNet and subscribe to their ZDNet Podcast series of one-on-one interviews, conference reports, and weekly "Dan and Dave" show.Over the years I have often been inspired by the ideas of Dave Winer, one of the main people behind the development and popularization of RSS and an early podcaster, and I subscribe to his folksy Morning Coffee Notes series. Podcasting is part of media and I find that I enjoy keeping up with the world of media with NPR's weekly On The Media show. I often don't have time to listen to it, but then sometimes I'll listen to two hours worth on an airplane trip and feel like I've done something worthwhile instead of watching a movie. To keep up with the latest in the podcasting business, I also listen to some of the shows from Adam Curry who many call the "podfather" because of his early influence on getting listeners.With a more mainstream approach to covering technology, long-time reporter Larry Magid covers the family angle of IT technology and through his position as a CBS Radio reporter gets some interesting interviews. His interviews are carried by ITConversations, but he also has a couple of feeds of some of his other material.
